Macular vision features xanthosight, an ingredient consisting of lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso zeaxanthin in ratios that have been and found to promote optimal eye health, visual performance, and cognitive function. Carotenoids such as lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso zeaxanthin, are concentrated in the macula, an area of the eye responsible for focus and color differentiation. In the macula, these pigments act as a filter for cell damaging blue light. Meso zeaxanthin is concentrated in the central region of the macula responsible for detailed central vision.
